Resume/Curriculum
I have a bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University in Indiana. I studied a semester abroad in Madrid and have worked in engineering jobs in Germany and Brazil. Moreover in my last year of University I did my senior design project around transportation in Cameroon, and traveled there to build our designs. Most recently I worked with 3D printing in a start up in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Meanwhile I've been working for SPeak English SP.
I'm devoting my life to exploring, learning new things and meeting amazing people all over the world (I've alread been to 56 counties, 5 continentes). I also volunteered for a program called All Hands Volunteers on Peru flood recovery program. And I used to volunteer with foreign students who wanted to practice their English in college (A program with the University International House). They matched up international students who wanted extra English conversation practice with native speaker volunteers.
For the English classes, I specifically design learning programs that are best suited to each individual student. I always take into consideration the student’s level of English and what they want to achieve, combining listening, reading, writing and speaking. Prior to the beginning of each course I speak in depth to each student individually, or in some cases in groups, to allow us to get to know each student and to assess their fluency level, as well as discuss their personal goals. We collate all the assessment information and design the most appropriate course for each student, using the right learning material, and allocate the right teacher.
