Hi! I'm Daniel, a native Portuguese speaker from Portugal, fluent in English (C2), French (C1) and Spanish (B2). Growing up and working across multiple European countries gave me a deep understanding of what it means to learn a language as an adult and the challenges that come with it.
I hold a certified Language Teaching Certificate and have been teaching Portuguese online with a 5-star rating across multiple platforms, working with students at different levels, from complete beginners to exam preparation candidates such as CAPLE and DIPLE.
My professional background is in commercial aviation, where I spent over 15 years working as a certified Safety and Emergency Instructor, delivering training to cabin crew and pilots across multiple European bases. This career taught me how to explain complex concepts clearly, adapt to different learning styles, and keep people engaged, skills I bring directly into every lesson.
My approach is practical and conversational. I focus on helping students actually use the language with confidence, not just memorise grammar rules.

Although I am based in Bangkok, time zones are never an issue. I am highly flexible with scheduling and happy to adapt to whatever works best for you.
I specialise in conversational Portuguese and official CAPLE exam preparation, including DIPLE B2, for adult international learners. All lessons are conducted in English, making them accessible and comfortable for students at any level.
My lessons are relaxed, friendly and pressure-free. I believe that confidence comes from practice, not perfection, so you will always feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions. Each session is tailored to your goals and your pace, whether you are building everyday fluency, preparing for a certification, or simply wanting to feel more confident speaking Portuguese.
You will never feel lost or overwhelmed. We move at your rhythm, focus on what matters most to you, and make sure every lesson feels like a productive and enjoyable conversation rather than a formal class.
