I graduated from the Physics Engineering Masters' Degree at the University of Aveiro in 2018. I always fared fairly well during my academic years, finishing with a final average grade of 18.4 (with every grade ranging from 16 to 20), and scoring a full 20 in my final thesis. My focus was on solid state physics, specifically semiconductor-based nanodevices. However, I also provided aid to my fellow colleagues as needed, from my or younger years, keeping me in touch with the various disciplines and field of study that this very broad degree provides. I believe this approach gave me the required skills in concise communication of multiple subjects, and ability to focus both on the key information required, and the needs of each individual person.
I enjoy a more casual and relaxed approach, using exercises, topics and scheduling as is required instead of demanded. Every student ultimately knows best what works for them, and a tutor's job is to best accommodate them while providing a friendly, safe and nurturing environment for personal growth. Approaching a problem as if talking with a colleague instead of a superior helps get better results in my humble opinion :) .

I believe the best way to solve exercises and problems is to have a good grasp on the fundamentals: targeting questions or gaps in knowledge with directed examples/problems, and beginning with well-established basics, to arrive at the solution in a natural, and understandable fashion. I also believe it is a good way to complement the usual study of model exercises done in exam preparation, to help the student identify basic mistakes they may make that could jeopardize an entire exercise, or reach a solution when forgetting the "magic formula". As Albert Einstein put it, "education is what remains after you have forgotten everything you learned in school."
I prefer a casual and flexible approach to learning, approaching exercises or topics as needed by the student, to complement their formation without wasting their very limited time and energy on redundancy they may not need. Using a well-reasoned structure to the flow of knowledge is less important to me than reordering, repeating, or skipping topics as the needs of the individual student dictate.
