I'm Portuguese but grew up in Ireland and am currently a Masters History student specializing in Political Extremism within social change movements (in Europe XIX-XX c.) with an interest in pursuing a PhD next in order to become a researcher. I am a responsible, hardworking, patient individual who maintains an honors position in my University.
I am a firm believer in the fact that each student is unique and should be taught thusly, as such I adjust methods accordingly, following each student attentively. My patience for modifying explanations and modus operandi is infinite, for I believe that if a student is trying their hardest and still struggling that is very much an issue on my part, not theirs.

My classes as geared towards people that wish to learn Portuguese as a second language, I follow each student with careful attention, adjusting teaching methods according to what works best for each person.
I've tutored kids and adults both (over the age of 6) and as an immigrant myself, my previous experience gives me a further understanding of the people I teach thus my specialty is aiding those that have just moved to Portugal, helping to begin the journey into learning the language.
Focus in fluid conversation, with spoken and written exercises adjusted to the students particular objectives, simple to follow and practice, a calm atmosphere.

Nina is a fantastic teacher, kind and incredible at explaining things in a way I could understand. She helped me learn enough to make friends and join a climbing club and I couldn't be happier.

A Nina é uma pessoa calma e compreensível que tira o tempo para falar comigo e compreender exatamente como pode melhor ajudar. Tem um conhecimento grande daquilo que faz e torna as aulas enquanto produtivas não cansativas ou chatas. O meu Inglês melhorou imenso e consegui passar o exame para o qual estava a estudar, algo que teria sido impossível sem estas aulas.
