I am a professional musician, singer, and vocal coach, born in NYC and now based in São Paulo, where I’ve been living for over a decade. I love reading, listening to audiobooks, and anything art-related—drawing, painting, dancing… whatever sparks creativity!
I hold a degree in Canto MPB/Jazz from the Conservatório de Tatuí, the largest and most highly acclaimed conservatory in Latin America, with additional studies in percussion, piano, and classical voice.
I approach language the way I approach music—through sound, rhythm, and expression—but also through reading, writing, and conversation. My method is conversation-based and focused on the practical application of language, helping students develop confidence and fluency in real-life situations.

I'm an artist and a New Yorker, born and bred, with a deep love for languages. I've been living in Brazil for over ten years, and while I’m fluent in Portuguese, I prefer to speak only English in my classes to create full immersion.
As a professionally trained musician and vocal coach, I have an extensive understanding of sound, rhythm, and phonetics—skills that transfer seamlessly into language learning. This allows me to help students refine their pronunciation and develop a natural feel for English.
I tailor my teaching style to each student, but I love exploring the roots and essence of language. English and Portuguese have more in common than you might think! When you were a baby, you learned by listening, mimicking, and recognizing patterns—that’s exactly how I learned Portuguese, and I can help you do the same with English.
If you want to feel more confident in English, improve your pronunciation, and develop a real connection to the language, let’s get started! I teach from the heart, and I’d love to help you on your journey.

As aulas com a Lucy são muito dinâmicas e bem estruturadas. Ela fala é americana e ainda fala português perfeitamente. Então não tive dificuldade nenhuma na comunicação com ela enquanto estava aprendendo. Ela possui um material de estudo personalizado pra cada aluno. no meu caso foi focado em entrevistas de emprego.
