I'm Brazilian, a Psychology Student, and a literature enthusiast ever since I was born. I am, by the way, also an amateur writer, with a series of short novels written, and none published. As a senior psychology student, I live immersed in a deep and meaningful connection with the Language, its meanings, the affections it carries. I love my native language, once it can be so complex and intricate, so beautiful, conveying what it needs to in such a special and unique manner. I strongly believe that learning portuguese can be close to acquiring a new set of eyes: it allows you to see the world in a new perspective. I assure you it's worth the shot.

The advantage of learning with a Brazilian psychology student is the acquaintance with a myriad of authentic material (the one used in communication amongst native speakers). It allows you to understand the language as a paramount part of a people's culture and identity. In that sense, learning portuguese is much more than articulating words into gramatically correct sentences - you've got to understand the logic behind the grammar, and, more importantly, what that says about the people you living amongst. All my classes are 100% customized to the students' needs and goals, always bearing in mind the importance of conveying the culture instilled in the word. I teach all levels, from beginner to advanced. If needed, I can focus on academic or literary writing - being an award winning researcher myself, I believe I can be of help.
