I'm from Brazil. I have a PhD in Applied Linguistics and a post-doctorate in Translation Studies. I graduated in Languages and Literature (Portuguese and Italian) and among my specialisations, I highlight the area of psychopedagogy and neuropsychopedagogy, which helped me to better understand the functioning of the brain, the learning blockages of an individual and child development, which enabled me to improve my performance as a language teacher.
In addition, I also highlight my training in teaching Portuguese to foreigners and my multicultural experience. In Brazil, I lived in different cities due to work and study and abroad, I have lived in Brighton (England), Camerino and Catania (Italy), and currently, I live in Dublin (Ireland).
I have extensive experience as a teacher and researcher in the areas of language, culture and translation, teaching different audiences, at different ages and in different places. My longest working period was devoted to university teaching (10 years), where I developed Portuguese classes (accademic writing) in different undergraduate courses and Italian language for classical music students and other students in arts courses, besides publishing articles, creating projects and mentoring students.

I consider language teaching to be associated with the culture of its speakers and I understand that learning a new language is a cognitive, social and cultural process, which involves emotional aspects. Therefore, everything that involves mind, language, multiculturalism, teaching, research and learning is of my interest.
