I am a science teacher. I have worked as a science teacher since 2009, in Brazil, and I taught science and Biology in England, in regular state school classrooms, from 2017 to 2022. That is 5 years of speaking, reading, writing and listening to English for at least 8 hours every day, apart from actually learning techniques for teaching vocabulary and developing literacy.
On top of that, I learned the language as part of an exchange program in Dublin (Ireland) from 2013 to 2015. I am fluent to the highest level, have many stories to tell, published two books in English ('Sunset and Blizzard', 2018, poetry; 'In Awesome Wonder', 2021, popular science and faith) and love teaching.
Plus, I have a somewhat British accent - well, British enough, with a sprinkle of Irishness, mate!

As you can see I am writing in English so you understand that my method of teaching involves me not talking to you in Portuguese at all. The idea is to get you talking from day one.
Having you as my pupil will be a delightful experience, but bear in mind that this will be mainly focused on conversation, so you can communicate with foreigners fluently as soon as possible. Therefore, I expect you will start at an intermediate level at least, and we will adapt teaching from there.
We will have a topic for discussion, learn some key vocabulary and grammar, read together and talk for an hour - all in English and never in Portuguese.
I am constantly developing professionally, thus part of your fee will help me fund more courses so you'll have an even better teacher as we go along.
I am looking forward to speaking to you!
