I'm Kade, a 32-year-old native English speaker from Texas, now living in Portugal. I spent over a decade working across three demanding industries — restaurants, electrical contracting, and seven years as a Process Operator at ExxonMobil's petrochemical plant in Texas — which means I've spent my entire adult life communicating clearly and professionally with all kinds of people in high-pressure environments. That's not a teaching certificate, but it's something better — real world proof that I know how to get a message across.
I take my students' progress seriously. I show up prepared, I'm always on time, and I treat every session with the same professionalism I brought to every job I've ever had.
Living in Portugal and learning Portuguese myself has completely changed how I see language learning. Just last week I helped a lady at a butcher shop — she couldn't communicate what she needed, I understood her English, and between my basic Portuguese and her gestures we got her sorted. That small moment reminded me exactly why this matters. Language isn't just grammar and vocabulary — it's connection, confidence, and being able to take care of yourself in the world.

My lessons are relaxed, conversational, and completely tailored to you — no textbooks, no rigid structure, just real English the way it's actually spoken by everyday Americans. Whether you're a complete beginner or an intermediate speaker looking to build confidence, we'll work on whatever matters most to you — pronunciation, vocabulary, business English, travel conversations, or just getting comfortable speaking without freezing up.
A typical lesson starts with casual conversation to warm up, then we focus on whatever goal you brought to the session — I'll gently correct mistakes, explain why something sounds more natural a different way, and make sure you leave every lesson having actually learned something useful.
What sets me apart is simple — I'm a native Southern American English speaker living in Portugal and learning Portuguese myself. I know exactly how intimidating it feels to speak a language you're still figuring out, and I bring that empathy into every single session. No judgment, ever.
My lessons are open to all ages and levels — students, professionals, hospitality workers, industrial and technical workers, or anyone who just wants to finally feel confident speaking English in real life.
