I learned to communicate in English at the age of 17, and since then one of my pleasures in life has been to interact with people from other cultural backgrounds. It is fascinating how you can broaden your horizons when you start learning another language. I know it more than anyone else! Speaking a foreign language has opened many doors for me. That's why it is so rewarding to help other people learn Portuguese.
Besides teaching, I like drinking coffee, going out for dinner, walking on the beach, and watching series. My favorite hobby is watching Friends while eating popcorn with my feet up at home. I just love it! Simple things in life are the best!

Oi, pessoal! Meu nome é Fernanda e eu sou natural de Goiânia, Goiás. Terra da música sertaneja, você conhece? Moro atualmente em Gold Coast, na Austrália.
I hold a degree in Letters (2013) and a Master's degree in Applied Linguistics (2016). I have been a teacher for 10 years. My aim is to help my students level up their language skills in a fun and motivating way.
Currently, I have been teaching Portuguese to Australians at a language school on the Gold Coast. It has been very rewarding to see my students speak Portuguese confidently with their partners and friends.
The lessons are prepared according to the student's needs, and I try to use different online tools and authentic materials to make our time together more engaging. I always deliver a file in which the students can see clearly where they started, what they have achieved at the end of each lesson, and where they should be at the end of 10 lessons with me. I am a very organized and thorough person, which I personally believe influences my student's success.
