Speaking portuguese is too difficult? Maybe you aren’t learning the right way

Sofia é uma excelente professora. Ela está sempre de bom humor e tem paciência. Sofia entende minhas necessidades de aprendizagem e me faz sentir confortável e motivada.

Sofia, is a lovely friendly person, that makes you feel comfortable with her immediately. She is a very methodical teacher and goes at a speed that is suited to the specific student. She doesn’t mind going back and repeating and explanation till both she and the student is sure that the topic has been understood well. She is punctual and if for any reason she is a bit late, she makes up the time by sitting late. She offers friendly advice, shares anecdotes, willingly translates and in general helps students over and above what a teacher is expected to do. Very helpful for foreigners who do not know local,places to visit, restaurants to eat at etc. We enjoy learning Portuguese with Sofia as a teacher who is also becoming a friend!
