I am deeply committed to helping college bound language students achieve their academic and professional goals and master the 21st century learning skills. I believe in creating a community of learners where collaboration and empathy are at the center of the instructional design.
My interest in technology and experience teaching in smart classrooms made it natural for me to dive into learning management systems, which I use to teach asynchronous and synchronous courses. I also use MOOC as a student myself, to learn more about my areas of interest: neuroscience applied to education and social and behavioral science.

I hold a Master's degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages, a Bachelor's degree in Communications, and international certifications in Positive Psychology Coaching, Career Coaching and Personal and Professional Coaching. I have been working in the education, training and development industry since 2005, in both the United States and Brazil. Prior to that, I worked as a journalist, editor and translator in both countries, as well.
One of my passions is to help students and professionals develop their English language skills through listening, speaking, reading, writing, assertive communication, critical thinking and problem solving skills.
I also help teachers develop social-emotional skills, self-care and instructional strategies that will help them be better leaders and facilitators in the teaching-learning process.
I believe in the power of education and in the power of educated citizens to transform the world we live in.
