Hi! ¡Hola! Oi!
I'm Jeff, a Brazilian native speaker who's lived in Germany, Portugal, Spain, Estonia and Ireland. I know exactly what it feels like to learn a language while adapting to a new country, culture and daily routine.
I can teach Portuguese entirely in English or in Spanish, whichever feels more comfortable for you - no need to already understand Portuguese to start.
If you're a Spanish speaker, we can use the closeness between the two languages to move faster; if you prefer English, we build up step by step from real-life situations.
I've spent years working in multilingual customer support and tech across European companies, so I'm used to explaining things clearly to people from many different backgrounds and language levels.
I really enjoy teaching and set aside a few hours each week for it. It is one of my favourite things to do :)

How the lessons work:
- Focus on real conversation and the Portuguese you'll actually use at work, in the street, ordering food, meeting people, dealing with paperwork.
- Explanations in English or Spanish, depending on what works best for you.
- I adapt to your level and your goal: total beginner, intermediate wanting to speak with more confidence, or advanced polishing pronunciation and cultural nuances.
- No pressure, no judgment: mistakes are part of the process.

- A Spanish speaker who wants to leverage the similarity between the two languages;

Bonus for Spanish speakers: we can address the classic false friends and the specific pronunciation traps that trip up Spanish speakers in Portuguese.
The first lesson (30 min) is free. We use it to understand your goal, your current level and plan the next steps together.
