Choosing an online psychologist can be quite difficult, especially if you come from a culture that stigmatises those that seek out professional help. I aim to provide both men and women from diverse cultural background with talking therapy that aids them in improving their current situation.
My approach is phenomenological, meaning that the counselling is individual to each person, taking into account the specific needs and difficulties you are currently experiencing, as well as your cultural background. My work prioritises the therapeutic relationship whilst my practice is influenced by the psychoanalytic perspective, CBT, and positive psychology. This type of integrative therapy allows different approaches to be called upon as appropriate for you and your circumstance.

Being open to providing help to individuals suffering from a wide range of psychological distress, my primary focus is on helping individuals suffering from depression and anxiety. Having gone through my own therapeutic journey, my belief is that psychotherapy can help you free yourself from current and past life experiences that are getting in the way of your well-being and daily functions. The counseling that I have to offer may help you understand more about yourself, your struggles, and how to improve them.
After qualifying with an Undergraduate Degree in Psychology in Istanbul (Turkey), and completing my Master’s degree in the Psychology of Intercultural Relations in Lisbon (Portugal), I now provide online counselling for English and Urdu/Hindi speakers worldwide.

Isto sim é ser superprof! Para além de saber ensinar e explicar todas as dúvidas que temos, a Ismat também explora um método diferente e eficaz para ensinar o aluno, ao contrário de outros professores que apenas debitam matéria e que participam pouco no lado humano e profissional quando ensinam um aluno.
Recomendo para todas as ocasiões de aprendizagem, especialmente se o objetivo for prepar para exames orais ou entrevistas de emprego.My only regret is not finding Ismat earlier!
My main goal is to develop my conversational skills and Ismat, besides being a wonderful teacher, has a calm and cheerful personality, which helps a lot!
