Mais sobre Ellie
Working with children has been close to my heart since I was a teenager. I began babysitting at a young age and have since spent over 15 years working with children in a variety of roles, from supporting children with learning difficulties and physical needs in primary schools in London and Amsterdam to working as a nanny and teaching English to Dutch children. I have also studied child psychology and draw on these insights and methodologies to create a supportive, engaging, and nurturing learning environment.
Alongside teaching English, I’m passionate about yoga and teach private classes for beginner adults, as well as yoga for children and parents.
I love languages and have learnt five over the years, so I understand the challenges of learning a new language. I aim to motivate and encourage my students with patience, compassion and natural engagement.
I also enjoy travelling and experiencing different cultures. My journey has taken me to China, where I spent time teaching at a university, and to the Netherlands, where I lived for eight years and met my Brazilian partner. We are now happily settled in Campinas with our ten-year-old French Bulldog.

My classes are conversational, interactive and tailored to each learner’s individual needs and interests. Using images, games and engaging exercises, we explore a variety of topics, from sports and music to everyday life, whilst developing speaking, listening, reading, and pronunciation skills. Over the years, I’ve developed a flexible teaching style that combines different techniques to help each student build confidence, enjoy learning, and make progress at their own pace. Most importantly, we have fun!
