I am Turkish, and I have BA and MA degrees at translation and interpreting studies (English-Turkish) as well as holding a certificate of Dokuz Eylul University in Izmir to teach Turkish as a second language. Currently, I am a PhD candidate at the Universidade Nova de Lisboa.

I use the communication method, especially for beginner students, but I also incorporate translation to allow students to improve vocabulary and make comparison between their source and target languages. I provide all learning materials, so learners will not need anything extra. In the early stages of learning, I use English and Portuguese as intermediary languages to explain and compare grammatical structures.
