Hello everyone, My name is Christos, I am a Greek native speaker living in Porto, Portugal. I have been teaching Greek and Englishin Europe and Asia for morre than 10 years.

My name is Christos, I am 35 years old and I am a Greek native speaker living in Porto, Portugal.
I was born and raised in Greece and more specifically in Thessaloniki which is in the north part of Greece.
I studied Philosophy and Pedagogy at Aristotle university of Thessaloniki while I worked as a teacher in a language center.
After the completion of my bachelor degree I moved to the Netherlands to do a Msc in Education and Child Studies. Meanwhile, I obtained my online degree to teach English as a foreign language (TEFL).
When I finished my master's degree in 2014, I moved to China and more specicfically in Guangzhou, where I lived and worked as an English and Greek teacher for six years. I taught students from 6 to 50 years old in different schools and language centers.
Right before the pandemic starts, I moved back to Europe where I continued my teaching both Greek and English in an online base.

To start with, I believe it is very important to preview your lesson before going live. Make sure that all material work properly, check your internet connection and make sure that you are in a quiet room.
It is also importnat to create your own clear teaching plan and schedule which will work as a road map both for you and the students.
Teaching online allows you to be creative and use a variety of tools.
Including graphs, charts or other vsual representations like photos may help students engage more in the learning process and hold their attention.
In addition to lectures, conversations and reading assignments you can use different interactive games or quizzes which provide students a deeper understanding od the material you teach.
Furthermore, providing timely feedback allows you as a teacher to check students' progress and indetify areas where you may need to provide additional instructions. Feedback is also important for students because it allows them to identify areas where they can pay closer attention to and improve.
