Hi everyone! My name is Cesar. I'm Brazilian, 25 years old, I was born in the state of São Paulo and have been living in Brazil my whole life.
My native language is Portuguese, but I also speak English and can communicate in Spanish too! I love both languages, and it can help a lot in learning. When students speak Latin languages, it’s possible to do the lessons fully in Portuguese.
I graduated and got my master's degree at São Paulo State University in the Music History field, so although the classes will always focus on practical strategies to stimulate and develop conversation abilities, context and knowledge about Brazilian culture will always be present.
That's why I believe that music and movies can help learn a language and understand its cultural context, whether you are learning for a trip, for doing business, or just because you love Portuguese.

Hello, my name is Cesar, I'm 25 years old, and currently living in Brazil. I am a native Portuguese - Brazil speaker and a History PhD student at São Paulo State University. I’m new on Verbalplanet, but I have been an online Portuguese teacher since 2019. Not only that, but I can speak Portuguese, and English and feel very comfortable communicating in Spanish too!
Teaching Approach
CUSTOM-MADE: I customize my lessons according to the student's needs and preferences. The first (trial) class will be very important to map what the student wants and needs.
CONVERSATION, LISTENING, READING, WRITING, GRAMMAR, PRONUNCIATION: It's important to study all these things as a whole, mixing them throughout the classes.
VIDEOS, MUSIC, POEMS, TEXTS: I separate materials according to the student's preferences and needs.
HOMEWORK: I customize the homework exercises accordingly to your free time.
LEVELS: BEGINNER, INTERMEDIATE and ADVANCED.
