Oii tudo bem? I am Luana and I am a Brazilian Portuguese teacher and a graduation student. I am from Belo Horizonte, Brazil. If you want to come to Brazil, to live or travel here then you need to speak Portuguese. Well, if you come to Brazil not speaking any Portuguese, you are a little crazy. Most of the brazilian do not speak English. So if you want to make friends, live here or even order something in a café, you need to learn Portuguese. If you think that learning a new language is hard, I can make the things easier for you. When you take classes with me, I make it fun and easy because:
-- I provide you information about our culture which will make you much more interested in learning Portuguese and coming to Brazil
--- I try to explain the grammar step by step in a way that it won’t be so hard to learn
--- We do a lot of practicing with dialogues and exercises, including homework
--- My classes are conducted on Skype, so you can start it before you come to Brazil and we continue it once you are here
Many people ask me in how much time they can learn Portuguese. Well, in the worst case, suppose that you have never learned a similar language like Spanish and you can speak only your native language, I can say that you can start talking with Brazilians in 6 months, if you dedicate 7 hours a week to Portuguese. If you are currently living in Brazil, you can start talking in 3 months studying the same amount of time.
My philosophy is that learning a language is lifetime process. I am constantly learning Portuguese, English and German (B1 level). I believe that even in my native language ( Portuguese) I still can learn new things.
