Hey there! I’m Jason, born and raised just outside New York City. After spending my whole life in the fast-paced U.S., my wife and I decided to slow things down a bit and move to Brazil in September 2024 to be closer to her amazing family—and honestly, it’s been one of the best decisions we’ve ever made. I’ve spent over 20 years working with kids, and I can truly say it’s been a passion, not just a profession. All those years have taught me patience, empathy, and how to connect with people—skills that come in handy when helping someone learn a new language. I’m still working on my Portuguese (bear with me!), but I’m loving every step of the journey. Brazil has completely won me over—from the warmth of the people to the flavor of a juicy picanha and an ice-cold cerveja on a hot day. It already feels like home.
