Mais sobre IRIS
Hi, I'm Iris, a civil engineering graduate and now a master's student in Urban Mobility Data Science and Analytics at IST Lisbon. I completed my bachelor's degree in three years at Northwestern Polytechnical University in China, where I graduated as an Outstanding Graduate. I studied in English and Mandarin, so I know what it's like to learn difficult subjects in a new language.
I work with maths, physics, Python and QGIS every day, and I'm HSK 4 certified since 2022. I speak Burmese, Mandarin and English. As a former international student ambassador, I'm used to explaining things clearly and patiently to people from different backgrounds. I look forward to helping you reach your goals!

My classes are practical, patient, and adapted to your level and goals. I start with a short diagnostic to find your gaps, then work through problems step by step, explaining the reasoning rather than just the answer.
Maths, physics and engineering: for high school and university students. Support with coursework, exam preparation, and engineering fundamentals such as mechanics and calculus.
Python, QGIS and GIS mapping: for beginners and university students. We work on real data, from basic scripts to building and analysing maps.
Mandarin: beginner lessons and HSK 1-4 preparation, based on my own HSK certification and 3 years of studying in China.
Lessons are online or in Lisbon, in English. Each session ends with a summary and exercises for the next class. Send me your level and goal, and we'll plan the first lesson together.
