I am a certified American Elementary School Teacher. I have a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from Emmanuel College in the United States. I have been teaching first grade for four years, and I have also been an English tutor giving individual or group lessons to elementary through high school students.
I have lived in Brazil for a couple of years now! I love the culture, the food and especially the food! Farofa and goiabada are my two favorite foods here!
I recently adopted a dog and whilst this has come with challenges, it is not something I would change.

As mentioned, I have a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education, and I have five years worth of experience as an elementary school teacher and four years as an ESL teacher. I can give English lessons to students starting from age three and up and I am also prepared to help with business English by helping write and proof read material, and learn business vocabulary.
My teaching method is very much student centered. I believe that the lesson needs to be tailored to the student to enable as much student learning as possible. I try to get to know my students by learning about their hobbies and interests so that I can plan personal fun and engaging lessons for each student. I focus on the five skills; comprehension, speaking, listening, reading and writing. I make the lessons flexible to help the student with improving fluency, grammar and comprehension.
Teaching is my passion, my calling in life. Teaching is not a job, it is something that I love to do. I believe that every student is worthy and every student is capable of greatness, and it is up to me as a teacher to help my students along the way to achieve some of this greatness.

My rate stays the same per hour no matter what level of English you are. If you cancel a lesson 24 hours in advance, I will not charge a fee, however, if it is less than 24 hours, it counts as a full lesson charge.
