I help English speakers / professionals / travelers / people with Brazilian partners or family speak Portuguese with confidence, focusing on the language Brazilians actually use, not just textbook phrases.
What we can work on together
- Everyday conversation for travel, work, or relationships
- Business Portuguese for meetings, emails, and presentations, especially in marketing, tech, and startups
- Pronunciation, including nasal sounds and the Brazilian "r"
- Brazilian slang and natural expressions (tá, né, beleza)
- Grammar explained simply, only when you need it
How my lessons work
In our first session, we'll talk about your goals and level. Then I'll build a plan for you, with a clear objective for each class. You'll speak from minute one, and I'll correct mistakes gently and send notes after class so you can review.
A bit about me
Besides teaching at university, I box. It's my therapy and it builds the discipline I bring to work and to my lessons. I also love a family churrasco and a good chimarrão (traditional southern Brazilian tea) while I work. Ask me about them in class!
